Community Partner Showcase: CGAJ
The Summit are supporting Commonwealth Games Association of Jersey in a fantastic new technology partnership 🚴🏊🏋️🏏🏉🥊🏸🥋.
Sport forms an huge part of our daily lives and culture at The Summit, our team are always looking to improve their own sporting performance and push themselves with new challenges and sport events.
The Commonwealth Games Association of Jersey is therefore a perfect fit as one of our community partners, we were eager to discover their potential opportunities and see what innovations we could bring to the organisation.
We have been working with closely with the CJAG team, sports team managers and athletes to developed a game-changing, bespoke data platform that enables athlete performance data to be both digitally/automatically collated and analysed by all stakeholders visually online.
This new process greatly enhances the speed, accuracy and ability to analyse performance of the athletes, season after season, across a wide range of sports of very different styles, all with varying performance indicators and measurements.
CGAJ now have a self service data platform, where CGAJ athletes can submit their own performance records online or using mobile devices. This data then automatically feeds into a powerful model and suite of visual analytical reports. The dashboards and reports are now a key part of the team managers and CGAJ staff’s athlete performance review process. Supporting decision making in the crucial athlete selection process, deciding on who will represent Jersey at future Commonwealth Games, such as the upcoming Birmingham 2022 Games.
We look forward to continue evolving this platform with CGAJ providing further cutting-edge cloud data and analytics solutions in our ongoing partnership.
Let’s hear what they have to say about their journey so far!
Paul du Feu MBE, President at Commonwealth Games Association of Jersey
“The CGAJ wanted to find a better way of recording and reviewing a wide range of sports results in a relatively short time frame. Partnering with The Summit proved to be a marvellous move for us.
We have now massively upgraded our athlete performance data collection and review process. The Summit helped build us a platform to automatically collect and visually analyse over 1,500 results from a wide range of athletes in different sports as diverse as swimming, athletics, lawn bowls and gymnastics. With help and expertise from The Summit Team we were able to break down the information and get a clear picture of how athletes have performed against their performance indicators.
The Summit team’s patience, persistence and creative thinking made the whole project both painless and more importantly a massive help to us when it came to having to make decisions around team selection.”
